Our journey began with a vision
OurVoiceFM operates in conjunction with Corlann Services. Based in the Republic of Ireland, we are dedicated to promoting and supporting the needs and goals of people living with an intellectual disability and Autism. Our aim is to include everyone who would like to use our internet radio station to promote their voice, opinions, ideas, and dreams. While other radio stations may include marginalised sections of society, we start with the marginalised and are working upward, promoting independence, confidence, and social inclusion.
What makes Ourvoicefm.com truely special?
As we said earlier, we are promoting the voices of the less heard. We provide opportunities for the marginalised and raise awareness of the giftedness and abilities of everyone in our communities. Our commitment to inclusivity sets us apart, fostering an environment where every individual's contribution is valued and celebrated.
Our vision for the future
We want to achieve a radio station that can broadcast seven days a week, presented by, managed by, and promoted by dedicated people who just so happen to have been labelled as having a "disability". 20% of our country's population has been classified as having a disability, be that physical, psychological, intellectual, etc. We want to reach out to all and take the "dis" out of disability, showing everyone what we have to offer is on par with other radio stations.
